Last Week Projects

Last week quite hectic. Anyhow, Alhamdulillah I managed to sew 18 pieces of baby binders (barut), 4 cushions covers, and embroidered 40 pieces of face towels dan a bath towels for the newly wed..

 Thanks to my beloved customer, Haniza, who ordered 4 pieces of printed barut before and asked to post them to her school...  It seemed that few of her friends also interested and ordered few more. I hope all of them are happy with the 'barut's made with love for their babies...

I know lately I haven't updated my blog regularly.... Been occupied with some other things... Anyhow, just finished with new barut for customer, the polkadot, and embroided tote.

Zap On Barut

Ni zap on barut yg repeat customer order. Hari tu dia order sarung tilam dan kali ni dia order barut lak.. Katanya nak size besar skit untuk anak lelakinya yg berusia 3 bulan, so dia bagi ukuran sendiri. Very great dealing with her, as she's very easygoing and not fussy...

New Printed Baby Binder (Barut)

Now we are in second week of May. Huh, how times fly really quickly... Felt like only few weeks ago my neighbour asked me to sew her some baby binder 'barut' for her unborn. At the time she told me that she's 4 months pregnant. And now she already in her third trimester... So yesterday, I had to put aside my current WIP, to give way to barut making... Since she's not sure the gender of her unborn, so white plain is ok.. But I guess this printed barut are also lovely.. Don't you think so to?

And of course they are made from quality 100% cotton, not from the cheap cotton... BTW, the underneath is the comforter I made for my daughter 2 years back..

Baby Binder (Barut).. The New Design

As I promised before, I'll be making a 'new' design of baby binder or known as barut... At the meantime, I'll call this barut as 'Barut 2 Dalam 1'... The name has no commercial value eh?.. Never mind la as long as it serves it's purpose...hehhehehe

So here are the snapshots:-

Features almost the same as the ordinary barut

Shorter outer layer

2 separate layers

Unlike ordinary barut that usually has 2 layers sewn together, this barut has 2 separate layers. The innner layer is mainly use to wrap the baby's tummy, and the shorter outer layer will serve to 'cover' the inner layer and bind the whole barut..

I would like to show you the step by step on how to use it, but since my youngest is nearly 2 years old, and I don't have any other little model, so for now I just describe briefly on how to use it, okay.  Actually, I already prepared few snapshots on how to use the binder using 'little bolster' as a 'model', but I found it quite funny, so forget it....

Sebenarnya cara nak pakai barut ni sama jer ngan barut biasa tu. Cuma memula tu, barut perut bayi anda dengan kepingan dalam dengan kejap dan kemas. Lepas tu barut pula dengan kepingan yang kedua, dan ikat.

Kenapa barut jenis ni? Pertama sekali advantagenya, adalah ianya lebih kejap dan kemas, dan tidak mudah ber'gerak'. Selalunya barut yang biasa tu, anda terpaksa betulkan beberapa kali, sebab ianya akan ternaik ke atas dada bayi, tapi dengan barut ni, jika dipakai dengan cara yang betul, anda mungkin tidak perlu atau kemungkinan untuk membetulkan kedudukan barut adalah minima.Dan semakin bayi anda membesar, jangan risau jika bahagian kepingan luar tidak lagi dapat menutup keseluruhan kepingan pertama, kerana fungsi utama kepingan kedua adalah untuk 'mengikat; barut tersebut, dan kepingan pertama masih lagi dapat membarut perut bayi anda dengan kejap dan kemas..

Tempahan Berut dan Bedung

Dah lama nak update yang ni tapi asyik terlupa jer... Saya ada jugak ambik tempahan untuk barut dan bedung baby. Menggunakan material yg 100% cotton yang lembut serap peluh dan sejuk. Pada masa ni saya hanya menggunakan kain putih sahaja, untuk cotton flannel pun available based on request.

Tali juga dijahit kemas dan panjang untuk memudahkan untuk mengikat

Setiap barut ada bahagian melengkung di tengah untuk mengelakkan dari terkena poo poo baby
